Mastering Board of Directors Participation
A comprehensive Certification program for Mastering Board of Directors Participation
If you are on a board, contemplating joining a board, responsible for running a board, managing board members and volunteers, or a staff member supporting your board of directors, this series is for you.
You will learn about many different types of boards and what typical responsibilities of board members are in each. There is information geared to help you enhance your skills to become more effective – and how to manage others on your board.
Since some boards rely far more heavily on volunteers doing part of the work there is helpful information about managing volunteers – which of course also applies to getting the best out of paid workers.
When it is your turn to be the Chair of the Board – or of a committee of the board, you will have acquired techniques that make managing people and meetings so much more effective than the manner in which they are typically handled.
And, of course, there is always the need for money – and we offer you a series of techniques for raising money through activities, solicitations and grants.
Our object is to provide you with as much valuable information as possible in this series – but to also afford you the opportunity of developing additional skills in relevant areas.
