Much of what is achieved in today’s world is achieved through teams. Many of us are members of multiple teams, some of which function productively, many of which don’t. Team leadership spiked with ethical principles, elevates a team’s performance, sometimes to incredible heights.

In this course, you will learn the 5 principles of ethical team leadership. But to help you compare these principles, you will also explore the amoral and immoral behaviors of leadership. These behaviors help you identify when you are straying from the moral high ground and often result in destructive leadership tendencies that diminish the productivity of teams.

Learning Objectives
  • Discover and discuss the role ethics plays in team leadership.
  • Identify principles that define ethical team leadership from other forms of team leadership.
  • Identify amoral and immoral behaviors that undermine team leadership.

very insightful course outlining ethical dilemmas as well as success stories of ethical leadership for a group. Would definitely recommend to other listeners who want ethics CPE.

My takeaway from this course is that ethical team leadership is not the same as ethics. It seems to me that ethical team leadership is more about culture and the "message from the top", as opposed to being an ethical leader. This course focuses more on culture setting rather than the ethical dilemmas a leader might face. This can be broadly applied to any organization, but is not specific enough for finance teams, in my opinion.

The choice of Popovich as an exemplary leader was possibly more interesting from a pop cultural perspective, but it seems like it weakens the message you’re trying to convey regarding what ethical leadership will look like for most finance professionals. Also, the presenters felt not incredibly prepared for a lecture that was not even an hour long. The principles themselves were fine I suppose.

The instructors are horribly opinionated and overly political; not necessarily in this course, but in others. Don't take them if you desire to learn anything other than their points of view. Easy CPE test though.

The material and presentation provided a positive baseline for leaders to integrate into their leadership style. Engaging employees in ethics holds the leader and company accountable.

Good introduction to ethics at work, just goes to show that people at the top have too much power and no accountability as long as the numbers are good, they can do whatever they like.

It was interesting but a lot of the course was videos that didn't really add to the content or material; a lot of the ethics lessons were about culture
