The overall goal of this course is to help you understand how sales and use taxes really work.
We’ll explain a little of the history of sales taxes and why use taxes had to be invented. We’ll show you the fundamental defining event in sales tax – the taxable retail sale - what it is, and where it happens. We’ll help you manage the complexities of sales and use tax laws . Finally you’ll even discover what nexus means, and how it can spell trouble for your business.

This topic has always been confusing and complicated to me. I like how he explained the basics of how the tax works. This provides the framework so that you can logically determine if you need to do further research on compliance in your state. The lecture was kept interesting as well.
Wow, I wasn't aware of the extent and complexity in this area especially when it comes to Use Tax! I have to pay more attention to Use tax issues in the future and this material will serve as my go to resource. Well worth the time spent on this course!!!
Great basic overview as to Sales and Use Taxes. A few Golden Nuggets in there that make this a very worth while course. Presenter well spoken and easy to listen to.

This course is relevant especially to companies with inventory. It has indeed increased my knowledge of the difference between the sales and the use tax
Good introduction to topic. Breaks it down in manageable chunks of what seems very overwhelming when have multiple business locations across state lines.
Some of the guidelines on use tax surprised me. I will be sure to take inventory of gifts, samples and donations and file the taxes appropriately.
