This course walks you through an Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) framework to help you understand the main components and processes of EPM and how they interrelate with one another.  It covers the four cornerstones of EPM as well as the glue that holds it all together, where each one answers a common business question, including:

-“Where are we right now?” (Statutory and management consolidation and reporting)

-“Why did we get the results we got?” (Business analytics)

-“Given what we know, what’s the next best thing to do?” (Financial what-if modeling)

-“Who is on the hook to do what, by when?” (Budgeting, planning and forecasting)

-“Are we doing this the right way?” (Financial systems governance and data quality)

This introduction will show EPM as a holistic business process that helps Finance partner with operations, marketing, sales, and all other areas of the business to help them garner new business insights, make fact-based decisions, and better deploy resources.

Fantastic! A great framework for improving overall performance of an organization from someone who is both knowledgeable and passionate about the topic. It felt much more like a conversation then like he was reading his notes to us. I am very interested in the book he mentioned at the end, as well.
