Emmanuel is a seasoned educator, an academic, a trainer, a consultant, a chartered accountant and a mentor. He started his career in the banking industry in his home country where he worked between 2005 and 2009. He garnered some audit and advisory experience including business liquidation in Malaysia between 2010 and 2011. He was an accounting lecturer at FTMS College, Malaysia between 2011 and 2021. Emmanuel is an international lecturer and he was in Vietnam in 2016 teaching Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS). He is also a CERTIFIED Mentor for the BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting of the Oxford Brookes University (OBU), UK. Emmanuel became an ACCA member in 2017 and he has also been an ACCA mentor since 2018.
Emmanuel has industry experience in providing consulting and advice about an individual’s or entity’s finances. He has helped individuals and companies reach their financial goals by providing their clients with strategies and ways to create more wealth, reduce costs, or eliminate debts. For instance, if a company is considering expanding its operations by building a new factory, Emmanuel has experience in helping assess the profitability of the project independently. Emmanuel has experience in researching the marketplace and recommending the most appropriate products and services available, ensuring that clients are aware of products that best meet their needs, and then securing a sale.
Emmanuel has attended several training, courses and conferences both locally and internationally. These include: Tellering in a Customer Friendly Environment (Including Fraud Prevention) - Duration: March 7-8, 2007, Customer Service Excellence Training - Duration: March 13-17, 2007, Mentor Development Workshop - Delivered at: ACCA Malaysia on the 19th August 2011, Staff Development (referencing and plagiarism) Anglia Ruskin University UK - December, 2011, CIMA Lecturers’ Conference, Kuala Lumpur – February, 2014 and ICAA Audit Conference, Sydney Australia – March, 2014.
Emmanuel is currently a Senior Lecturer and the Deputy Programme Leader of M.Sc. in Accounting & Finance at the department of Accounting, Finance & Economics, Faculty of Business & Law, De Montfort, University, Leicester, United Kingdom. He has teaching award - FHEA. Emmanuel has taught and currently teaching modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has supervised over 3000 master’s dissertation students and have second-marked several colleagues.
