These are usually short descriptions that you use to tell yourself and other people about yourself. An ability can be described as ‘the possession of the means or skill to do something’.

We often look for positive skills and abilities in people, particularly if we are recruiting or considering someone for promotion at work. Remember, though, that anyone can say they have an attribute or ability…the proof comes in their behaviour, where they actually show and manifest the attribute in real-world situations. That is why some interviewers ask for proof of the ability someone is claiming to possess.

Once the session is complete, you will be able to write down what positive attributes are and highlight what you consider to be your positive abilities are, along with the reasons why you would choose them.

• You must pass this exam to receive continuing education credits.
• You would need to retake the course before attempting the qualified assessment again.
• To redo the course after passing, you would need to reset the course.
• You won’t be awarded additional CPE if you re-take the qualified assessment after passing once.
