Description

In this course we discuss how performance management processes enable difficult conversations and help to proactively tackle poor performance. We begin with a brief overview of how consistent feedback and coaching from managers leads directly to increased engagement from employees while developing the ability to provide good coaching and feedback leads to more skilled managers. This leads to a conversation about giving actionable feedback focused on behavior.

Then we explore how poor performance can arise from external factors and the importance of seeking out the source of problems in order to resolve them. This course examines the essentials of performance management practice to ensure that managers are better able to offer feedback and have a more holistic view on employee performance.
