These courses provide organizational and human resource (HR) leaders with an overview of diversity, inclusion, and the legal and practical aspects of the concepts. The course identifies, defines, and explores the terms “diversity” and “inclusion.” It provides a brief overview of affirmative action, including details and law created by pivotal court cases. Ideas for dismantling the barriers to diversity and inclusion are provided. Practical and actual Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) claims which arose when organizations ignored the importance of creating inclusive, diverse, environments are analyzed.
