Identifying strengths and weaknesses and getting the best from individuals to achieve better results. It is about improving performance, and the quicker it happens, the better. A good coach knows what is required to do a job well, not just well but to exceed expectations.
To do that, a leader must be willing to pay attention to the details and identify what are good and bad techniques. If staff happen to make mistakes then offer training solutions. It is important to keep records of what is being said within your team. The actions carried out and the plan to put in place. This helps you track any progress and the records you keep are useful for evaluation and follow up meetings.
Importantly, you must turn this process into a positive about improving performance, not finding faults.
Once the session is completed, you will be able to describe good coaching techniques, identify reasons why employees fail to perform and solutions to the problems. Also, you’ll be able to provide a list of key points to achieve a better environment for the team.

- You would need to retake the course before attempting the qualified assessment again.
- To redo the course after passing, you would need to reset the course.
- You won’t be awarded additional CPE if you re-take the qualified assessment after passing once.
