
Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning
In this course we will discuss how creating, acquiring and communication knowledge and improving the re-utilization of knowledge is complemented by embedding what has been learned into the fabric of the organization. We will start with a brief overview of knowledge management and organizational learning processes and goals. This leads to a conversation about how to motivate the creation, dissemination and application of knowledge to continuously improve organizational practices and behaviors and pursue the achievement of organizational goals. Then we will explore how knowledge management and organizational learning directly improves organizational processes such as innovation, collaborative decision-making, and individual and collective learning. This course will serve to examine the knowledge management processes cycle and the organizational learning processes which contribute to organizational performance.
