Experiential Learning and Facilitation Skills
In this course we will discuss the concept of learning from experience and how the Learning and Development practitioner can develop facilitation skills to improve learning. We will start with a brief overview of how experiential learning is a powerful way to address individual growth and potential. This leads to a conversation about the adaptation of learning to meet the needs of individual learning styles, preferences and strengths to produce positive emotional effects such as confidence, self-esteem and a sense of personal value and purpose. Then we will explore the development of facilitation skills to guide and direct the process of learning from experience. This course will serve to examine how to gain competence as a facilitator of learning from experience to help individuals and teams to achieve their goals in the most effective and constructive manner.
