Blockchain Use in Supply Chains and Systems Integration

This course assumes students have a basic understanding of Blockchain (BC) technology and the functions of Supply Chains.  

We first look at how BC is being applied to both reliably and safely share data and to help integrate Information Technology (IT) systems and information sharing with business partners.  We review a wide range of BC applications to improve Supply Chain operations.   We then examine a powerful BC system in operation today:  the IBM-Maersk “TradeLens” supply chain BC. We then review and summarize the major advantages of using BC to improve Supply Chain functions.
