Description
Knowing the best way we learn things is important, as it will help us direct our learning to how we do it best.
There are, in general, four ways we can take in information:
Through looking at and observing things, known as ‘visual learning’.
Through listening to instructions and remembering them, known as ‘auditory learning’.
Through taking in information via what others have written, known as ‘reading and writing learning’.
Through getting actively involved in the learning process, literally hands-on, known as ‘kinaesthetic learning’.
By identifying what your preferences are, and by utilising the strengths of each one, you will find learning easier, more fun and more memorable.
Once the session is completed, you will be able to identify all the different learning styles, evaluate which ones would be most effective for you and summarise how that learning style helps you build your learning portfolio.
