The Trump “One Big Beautiful Act” (OBBBA) was passed into law on July 4, 2025 and includes significant changes to many areas of tax legislation. Significantly impacts US employers through changes to tax provisions, employee benefits, and healthcare policies. Key changes include permanent extensions of tax breaks like the Qualified Business Income (QBI) deduction and 100% bonus depreciation, permanent 179 expensing, permanent tax rate cuts, permanent educational assistance for employees, as well as modifications the business interest deduction.
