This course will discuss options available for US companies interested in initiating their business in India. ‘Initiating the businesse’ may include execution of a short term project, appointing a distributor/agent of your product, starting a representative office, direct acquisition of shares an Indian company or forming a wholly owned subsidiary in India.

We will discuss the basic legal framework of various options and discuss the suitability of the same based on different scenarios of a proposed business establishment. We will list out the prerequisites as well as the details of various legal authorities and formation activities which are involved at various stages of business establishment of a foreign entity.
