<p>While the COVID-19 outbreak is primarily a public health issue, the outbreak has also affected financial reporting that accountants will need to consider when preparing financial statements. This course sets out some of the main financial reporting considerations for accountants and auditors when preparing and evaluating financial statements during the COVID-19 crisis.</p>
<p>Determining the proper accounting treatment will be challenging and judgment-based on ‘facts and circumstances’. There has been a reliance on accounting specialist amidst an economic downturn and recovery, leading to an ever evolving set of best practices.</p>
