In this set of lectures of Unlocking in the Ivory Tower, we examine innovation.

We consider ideas and questions such as “what is innovation,” and patterns that innovation follows. We look at how innovation diffuses or spreads, and how current technology such as the Web, social networks, and social media might affect the adoption of innovative outputs. It’s essential that managers understand the context for innovation, and — in terms of the firm — the industry, and the country level in creating and managing innovative outputs.
