Jim Shepard

Jim Shepard is director of client services at Hedge Trackers, a Silicon Valley-based ASC 815 (FAS 133) consulting, outsourcing and software firm providing corporations with globally compliant accounting, reporting and analytics services for the effective hedging of foreign currency, interest rate and commodity risk.

Shepard provides risk management and accounting advisory services that aid Hedge Trackers clients in implementing and accounting for balance sheet and cash flow hedge strategies in accordance with GAAP. He is a seasoned Certified Treasury Professional with experience managing ASC 815 (FAS 133)- and FAS 52-compliant hedge programs.

Before joining Hedge Trackers, Shepard served as assistant treasurer at BEA Systems (now Oracle) and senior treasury manager at Gilead Sciences. He has also worked in various treasury roles for multinational corporations. Shepard holds an MBA from Santa Clara University and is a member of the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) and Silicon Valley Association for Financial Professionals (SVAFP).
