Michael McDonald, Ph.D. President, Morning Investments
In this innovative two-hour session expert Michael McDonald brings a new approach to learning the fundamentals of analyzing data in Excel. Unlike traditional webinars where it can be hard to try out techniques as the instructor is teaching, this session will have purposeful breaks for you to try out techniques on your own.

Analyzing data is an essential part of every business, but many professionals struggle to make the most of the data they have at hand. You'll learn in this hands-on webinar that it doesn't have to be so difficult.

This intensive and interactive two hour webinar introduces participants to the fundamentals of analyzing data in excel.

Throughout this event, every technique is carefully explained and demonstrated, first, on a PowerPoint slide with numbered steps, providing context, and then in Excel, at a ‘follow-along’ pace as you do the steps at the same time.

Interacting with the instructor is encouraged and one-on-one attention is given, just as in a live training session. This is the closest you can get to ‘live classroom’ instruction while not having to leave your place of work.

Topics to be covered include:

  • How to compile disparate datasets using v-lookup functions
  • How to compute and interpret means, medians, standard deviations, and variances
  • How to build a moving average to do basic data forecasting
  • How to construct and format a variety of charts and graphs based on data which illustrate conclusions drawn from a dataset
  • Where to get data for free that you can use in a variety of business settings

All of these topics and more are covered in-depth and participants are shown step-by-step how to perform essential operations in Excel to make any analysis project more effective and accurate.
