I didn't realize the power and efficiency behind using named references and tables. Will definitely integrate this in my daily work. Also, I found the data validation very useful and limiting users of the worksheets ability to cause errors. I very much enjoyed having the worksheets accessible while listening to the lecture. Performing these tasks in conjunction with listening, reinforced the understanding of these shortcuts/efficiencies. The instructor did a great job of not over complicating the topics and made it really easy to understand and follow.

4 of the 5 shortcuts that were explained were completely new to me, and are super useful: who knew they could be used both to select data AND to navigate and select sections w/n a cell formula? I knew named references were a thing, but never realized how easy and useful they are. I already had some familiarity w tables, data validation, and conditional formatting, but still learned something new in each section. one suggestion: a text based summary of the training would be very useful (as Jeff provides in his Excel U site).

I like the knowledge shared for named references and tables most - this can really help increase both the work efficiency and effectiveness. Data can be understandable after using named references to replace the function arguments and data can be auto-expanded with the function of tables used. The most insightful sharing is the solution to use the table function in a drop-down list set up. It makes me want to explore more in Excel so as to fully and smartly adopt flexibility when utilizing Excel functions

He talks SUPER fast and it seemed I needed to know this information and just be 'refreshing' my abilities versus learning for the first time. I had to keep rewinding, which is hard in this format (no 10 seconds forward/back option - had to 'slide' it back which makes it jumpy). Overall a really good course, but seriously, are you teaching newbies (as I expected from title) or are you refreshing skills already known but rusty? If for newbies, slowww it down.

Was hoping to actively learn/refresh Excel shortcut knowledge. The pace way too fast to do anything other than listen (gave up following along with the worksheets during the first segment). Clearly this course was not designed for the Illumeo platform. However, give more time to follow along with the worksheets and add another CPE hour and the course would be great. Instructor obviously knows Excel inside and out.

This course was very helpful and informative. The time allotted was sufficient to cover all relevant topics associated with the course. The instructor seemed very knowledgeable of the subject matter. The examples he provided in each topic was very helpful. I am looking forward to taking more Excel courses with Mr. Lenning. I would also recommend this course to anyone wanting to enhance their skills in Excel.

This course provide simple instruction on various way to improve productivity. It briefly covered select short-cuts, named references, tables, data validation and conditional formatting. Each section provided enough information to allow the viewer to begin using the new tools. The tools could most definitely provide increased efficiency. The course was easy to understand and provide practical examples.

Jeff is a great instructor. I did feel like I needed to review his techniques a few times to understand how he got to the conclusions. He made the 5 steps to Productivity seem extremely easy. I plan on using the keyboard shortcuts more often in my daily assignments. Those who are looking to transition more from using a mouse to keyboard shortcuts would benefit most from this training.

I learned many new shortcuts that I know will help save time, make the worksheet easier to follow and cut down on errors. During the course, I would hit the pause button and practice the steps on my other monitor. I would also go back and listen to certain steps again since it went by pretty quickly. Overall, I learned a lot and enjoyed the course. Thanks Jeff!

I really enjoyed this course and learned a lot of new Excel tips! The excel worksheets were good to do along with the video. The quiz and final exam were not really related to the course material, but the questions weren't that difficult if you know how Excel works. I really enjoyed this course, and I have already implemented these tips into my daily work.

Course is a beginner level course. The first excel visual provider where the instructor was making changes - was of no benefit. I was concerned about the data validation instruction - if there is no protecting of the worksheet, anyone can add data to the data validation listing. I felt this was a big miss. Overall good, basic information.

Love Jeff Lenning's enthusiasm and learned some interesting techniques I had not considered which will help make my future analyses in excel more efficient and easier to navigate. Have never used the conditional formatting techniques and will find that as an effective tool for analyzing variances or exceptions in my spreadsheets.

The worksheets that were provided in the supporting materials made it extremely easy to follow along and get good practice throughout the lesson. The shortcuts that were provided were extremely useful and can be used with all types of Excel projects and at all different levels. I will definitely use the shortcuts going forward!

I enjoyed the course and wanted more from it once it was over. The time went by pretty fast and I found myself replaying the lessons to digest all that the course had to offer. I was rather mesmerized with the Data Validation function and all that one can do to protect one's workbook with the use of Conditional Formatting.

The author did a really good job explaining the shortcuts and "tricks" to help make our use of Excel more efficient. He went through some of them very quickly, but the opportunity to practice on the worksheets and to come back to the course later will ensure that I can make good use of this course in my job.

I learned more than expected. I liked how the instructor explained a step and then showed examples step by step. The course was not to lengthy and it covered some useful shortcuts. I would recommend these courses to others who have an interest in learning how to be more efficient and save time with excel.

Course was very helpful, I will definitely pass this one to my co-workers. This is something that can help in our day to day work environment. Most of all, this is also something that can be useful with personal accounting and financials with my husband and my children. Thanks for sharing this information.

I have been using Excel for 25+ years and still learned new tips and tricks in this course. (Specifically, how to use a Named Reference instead of an expandable table - which Excel won't allow - for data validation drop down lists.) Jim is engaging and entertaining. I plan on taking the rest of his courses!

Overall, great experience re-learning most of the tools that were presented in this training course. The instructor did seem to talk pretty quick and I know I would not have been able to follow along if I did not have prior knowledge in most of the items he presented. Still, very informative course to take.

Super efficient course, Loved the presentation. I've been familiar with tables, but this course helps highlight the benefits of using them and shows real examples for ways to apply them. At times, the examples were a little too quick, so I did end up pausing to catch up, but nothing I couldn't handle.

I loved being able to work on the exercises alongside the instructor as we went along. The instructor was upbeat and enthusiastic, which made the learning more enjoyable. There was a manageable amount of new information that you are allowed to master before moving on to the next section. Great course!

The instructors enthusiasm for course material is what made this course stand out for me. Of course there was a lot of good information here as well. It didn't go too deep on anything but gave enough info about a variety of topics to be able to know what you may be interested in learning more about.

Great information! I've worked with data validation and conditional formatting before and still learned something new! Wonderful use supplemental material as well. Does go through the examples fairly quickly - I had to pause the video several times to do it myself without getting behind.

I am familiar with all the excel shortcuts and features discussed in this course but the lessons provide a lot more other functionalities that I do not not normally used or I did not know even exist within a specific function. This is a highly recommended course for a heavy user of excel.

I'm a BIG fan of keyboard shortcuts. I have used them for years to be more efficient in my work. Jeff provided several that I was unaware of. Also, the section on Tables will be beneficial in the future - especially the auto expand feature which updates field ranges automatically.

This course was fantastic and so was the instructor! The course was fast-paced, but the instructor spoke clearly and concisely and I was able to follow along - and I learned many things I didn't already know. I am excited to take additional Excel courses with this instructor.

There was a lot of valuable information given in this short course. Even for advanced Excel users, this served as a great review. No matter how experienced you are, you will almost always be able to pick up a few things that you've forgotten or didn't know was available.

Very good course covering many great short-cuts. Good intro to data validation and conditional formatting. The time it took to complete the course is longer than expected as I had to pause to work through the exercises and review what he did. Overall, great course.

The video is very fast paced and I find myself having to repeat the video several time in order to not fall behind! I did learn a lot but, one area of improvement would be the excel solution - where it actually type out what key to press instead of just answer.

The instructor balanced fitting the information in and speaking at a quick enough pace to keep it engaging. It was easy to follow his work through on the workbooks. While I did know some of the things taught already, I can't wait to use the other tips I learned!

One of my favorite presenters on here. Ties shortcuts together to broaden scope of use. Fast pace yet doesn't miss a detail so you can sit back and watch. Dynamic Drop Downs! Explanation of table benefits! Using Conditional formatting rather than charts!

These were new concepts for me and I loved learning about them, but the pace was way too fast for me to follow. I spent quite a bit longer than the CPE credit that I will earn. So that is not efficient! Otherwise, the instructor was interesting, and smart.

Even as an intermediate user of Excel, I found a few important take-aways and short cuts that I have not used when building my workbooks i.e., autofill by double-clicking the bottom right edge of the active cell. Jeff's pace was perfect for my learning needs.

I thought that this was one of the most helpful excel tutorials I have seen. All of the topics discussed would be very useful to me on a daily basis. However, I wish that there were a written transcript of the videos available as I took a lot of basic notes.

Some of the terminology that the instructor used made more sense after he went through an example. I currently use some of the shortcuts, and I enjoyed learning the section under Named References. It was a nice refresher for the Data Validation.

I loved what I learned in the course, but I was annoyed that the Worksheets ZipFile link wasn't working, therefore I had to stop on each lesson and create a copy of the data that the instructor was working with, super annoying and time-consuming.
