In this course we look at corporate change from all perspectives.

First, you learn how to weigh the cost of corporate initiatives against the intended benefits and how to apply change management principles to the challenges of implementing change.  Then we take an in-depth look at change from the perspective of the employee and outline how to develop an approach to enable you to drive initiatives successfully throughout the organization.  Finally, you learn how organizations are adapting to continuous change by changing aspects of their organizational structure.

Learning Objectives
  • Plan your next significant change management initiative
  • Structure your organization to accommodate and adapt to change
  • Play a leadership role in advocating the need and facilitating the execution of change

Change is not always for the better. Some management decisions can be shortsighted and a long term detriment to the business, I lived through such "improvements" in the newspaper industry. I was surprised to see how little Southwest Airlines has had to change or adapt relative to their competition.

I enjoyed how the presenter used real life examples to support his points and argument. This course was fairly comprehensive and is a good primer as a starting or jumping off point for a change management initiative. I recommend this course for anyone interested in a managing change situation.

Currently involved in helping a company go through significant change. Helping to develop their awareness of the need for change management is a critical path to the success. This was a helpful reminder and reinforced the processes that need to occur.

Another nice and useful presentation by Blair Cook. Story line ending abruptly with the sale of the company was not very supportive of the change management efforts, but, maybe it did represent a part of the 70% of initiatives going south. ;)

A simple, but eye-opening discussion of how organizations can move through the change transition process successfully, with employee engagement managed through the cycles of denial, fear, frustration, then celebration.

The first part of the lesson was very strange. It felt like the instructor was telling a story about his past that he still has negative feelings about. It felt very awkward and not necessary for the lesson.

This instructor is on my preferred list and I always enjoy the material he brings forward. Though many of these change concepts are not new, it is helpful to see them revisited in one setting.

Excellent!!! Actual examples were given and best explained by his experience. "Example is not the main thing influencing others. It is the only thing." Good job! Thanks a lot!

This course was packed with interesting and meaningful concepts -- I think the pace could be slowed down a bit so that it is easier to absorb everything

Excellent. Clearly explained, logical, examples, a "plan" to show how Change Management works and is different from Project Management.
